Wendouree Degustation Dinner

South Australian Chef of the Year Nicola Palmer will design a six-course, individually plated degustation dinner to match wines from one of Australia's most iconic wine brands - Wendouree. Wendouree has been making outstanding wines since 1892, hardly changing their winemaking methods over this time. The wines have surely improved as the vines have aged and winemakers have better understood the nuances of each vintage. The evening will start with Ashton Hills Sparkling Shiraz made from Wendouree Shiraz base wine and canapes on the Hell Hole terrace alongside of a fire pit for canapes (weather permitting). Then, move inside the air-conditioned private dining space for six individually plated courses matched Shiraz Mataro and Cabernet Malbec each from different vintages. The evening will conclude with dessert matched to Wendouree Muscat of Alexandria. The Watervale Hotel was awarded '2022 Best Restaurant in a Pub or Club in Australia' by the Restaurant and Catering Association, and 'Best Hotel Restaurant' globally by Corporate Livewire.
