Celebrate the upcoming Mother’s Day at SIMON JOHNSON Wine Store! Join Alice Waight from Möet Hennessy as she presents an array of varietals from Chandon Australia & Château d'Esclans. Savour Chandon NV Brut Rose and Esclans Whispering Angel, complemented by a curated assortment of cheese & accompaniments from SIMON JOHNSON.

  • Sixty years ago, Robert-Jean de Vogüé and friends embarked on a journey to redefine luxury sparkling wine, exploring regions like Argentina, California, Brazil, China, India, and Australia. At Chandon, they embraced risks, believing it was riskier not to take them. In 1982, John Wright visited Victoria, impressed by Australia's spirit, leading to Phillipe Coulon's approval and the assignment of Tony Jordan to find the perfect vineyard land. Choosing the diverse terroir of the Yarra Valley, Jordan became the Chief Winemaker, releasing the first cuvées in 1989.

  • Château d’Esclans, the estate wine made from Grenache and Rolle (Vermentino), brings together the different approaches used to craft our wines, stainless steel and barrel fermentation, giving it a unique cross between freshness and complexity making it a full style rosé with a smooth and creamy texture that is rich and long on the palate.

Join us at the SIMON JOHNSON Wine Store, 24A Ralph St, Alexandria each Friday from 2:00pm to 4:00pm to discover your next favourite cheese and sample a drop of our current favourites. Our SIMON JOHNSON Wine Store houses a variety of local and imported labels. Selected for you to drink now, cellar for later, or gift (what you would like to receive!) Our collection makes the perfect complement to your culinary experience at home.
