Shamanic Drum Workshop in Sellicks Beach

All materials are provided, including your choice of handcrafted Drum Hoops sizes (34cm, or 43cm), natural kangaroo skins, a sheepskin beater, and a drum care guide to support your journey beyond the workshop.

Created with sacred intention and handmade from natural materials once part of living beings: timber from the standing ones and rawhide from kangaroos, your drum becomes more than an instrument. It becomes a personal and ceremonial tool to walk with into the future.

Throughout the drum-making process, space is gently held for your own inner experience. As you weave and tension the lacing of your drum, emotions, memories, or personal reflections may naturally arise. This weaving process can be deeply grounding, healing, and transformational, inviting you into connection with your own rhythm, creativity, and inner knowing.

During the workshop, we will also explore the Four Elements of the Southern Hemisphere Medicine Wheel and how they relate to rhythm, beat, and the ancient practice of frame drumming. You will leave not only with your own handcrafted drum, but also with foundational ways to begin playing and connecting with it.

Please wear comfortable casual crafting clothes and bring a light lunch or, if you feel called, a small plate of food to share with the group.

Tea, coffee, and a fresh fruit platter will be provided.
