Join Uki Refugee Project at the screening of Tatami, the first film made jointly by Israeli and Iranian directors.
Tatami follows Leila (Arienne Mandi), an Iranian judo champion who is put in political danger when her government tells her to fake an injury and withdraw from the world championships rather than face an Israeli rival. In a fight for freedom and dignity, what is she willing to give up?
Winner of an award at the Venice Film Festival 2023, Tatami has received positive reviews from film critics and audience worldwide. Co-directed by Iranian and Israeli filmmakers Guy Nattiv and Zar Amir, it is based on real-life events.
