Regional Cost of Production
Determining a regional Cost of Production has been identified as a key priority for McLaren Vale growers.
The Wine Grape Council of South Australia is supporting the development of robust, region-specific Cost of Production values to enable meaningful benchmarking ahead of next year’s growing season.
This work will provide growers with access to data that reflects their own production systems, offering timely and practical insights to support decision-making when planning vineyard activities. The data will also help inform future GrowStrong programs, which are designed to strengthen viticulture businesses through strategic management and planning resources.
We are now seeking growers with a sound understanding of their operating costs to participate in Cost of Production pre-workshops. These sessions will help shape the development of a regional Cost of Production benchmark for McLaren Vale.
