Join us for an afternoon of stories, food and good company, featuring two of Australia's most beloved storytellers: Robin Bailey and Frances Whiting.

Settle in for a two-course shared banquet lunch, crafted from fresh, spray-free produce grown on our own gardens and sourced from local farmers. On arrival, enjoy a welcome drink of beer, sparkling or wine, with additional beverages available to purchase throughout the event.

Hear directly from Robin and Frances as they share the stories behind their latest books, followed by an audience Q&A and opportunities to purchase books and have them signed by the authors.

Each guest will also take home a jar of Alsahwa's own honey, a little taste of the Estate to enjoy at home.

Robin: One of Brisbane’s most in-demand hosts, MCs and media personalities, Robin Bailey is a key voice on KIIS937’s breakfast show and a familiar face across national television. She joins us to discuss her deeply personal new book, Flamingos Aren’t Born Pink, a raw and hopeful story of grief, resilience and family, told with her signature honesty and warmth.

Frances: Frances Whiting is a best-selling author, and an award-winning journalist and columnist. She is a highly regarded, national magazine feature writer, and a recipient of the Clarion Award for Outstanding Contribution to Journalism.

In 2027, her national, weekly column will turn 30 years old, making Frances Australia’s longest-running weekly columnist.

Frances has written three best-selling novels – Walking on Trampolines, The Best Kind of Beautiful and her latest novel, The Nocturnals is currently in the Australian fiction best seller charts.
