Gold Rush Express

Celebrate Gympie's rich gold mining history aboard the Gold Rush Express, a special heritage rail experience presented as part of the Gympie Gold Rush Festival.

Departing from historic Gympie Station, this three-hour return journey travels through the picturesque Mary Valley to Amamoor before returning to Gympie.

Throughout the journey, talented performers from Perseverance Street Theatre Company will recreate the excitement of the Gold Rush era with entertaining skits, lively storytelling and interactive performances in authentic period costume. Discover the colourful characters, pioneering spirit and fascinating stories that helped establish Gympie as one of Australia's richest goldfields.

Guests are encouraged to dress in their favourite Gold Rush-inspired attire and immerse themselves in this unique historical experience.
