Rush to the Rattler

Rush to the Rattler returns to Gympie for its third year, combining fitness, community spirit and heritage rail for a memorable morning out. Presented by Lions Club Gympie and proudly supported by Mary Valley Rattler, the event begins at the Gold Mining Museum and finishes at historic Gympie Station on Tozer Street.

Participants can choose from three course options: a family-friendly and walk-friendly 3 kilometre course, a 5 kilometre run or a challenging 10 kilometre course for keen runners.

After crossing the finish line at historic Gympie Station, participants will receive a sausage on bread and bottle of water. Additional food, coffee and drinks will be available for purchase.

Then it is time to give tired legs a rest aboard the Mary Valley Rattler's Silver Bullet for a scenic ride back to Monkland Station, followed by a walk to the Gold Mining Museum.

Souvenir event hats are available to collect at registration.

Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sunscreen and hat.
