Mount Beauty Oktoberfest and Dachshund Derby 2026

Get ready for one of the High Country's biggest and most entertaining days of the year. Mount Beauty Oktoberfest and Dachshund Derby is back for 2026 - bigger, longer and with even more happening throughout the day.

Held in conjunction with the Mount Beauty Markets, this year's event will feature more than 60 market stalls, live entertainment, German food, craft beer, dachshunds, kids' activities and plenty of Oktoberfest fun. They'll have music running throughout the day, including live performances from Suidjig and Jus Gordon.

Grab a beer, find a spot and settle in for the afternoon. Expect plenty of German food, German-style beer, Mountain Monk craft beer, Stein-holding competitions for adults and kids, plenty of other food, drinks and market goodies to discover.

The much-loved Dachshund Derby returns with some big improvements for 2026. This year they'll have a longer racetrack, improved track security, additional seating areas and more seating available on site. For safety, finish-line access will be restricted to dog owners and accredited press only.
