Italy comes to Giammarino Wines

We want to take you on a tasting journey of some uniquely special imported Italian wines, accompanied by a beautiful lunch that will be prepared by restaurateurs Locavore. Wines on the tasting will include Franciacorta, which is the Italian version of Champagne. This wine has such a tradition and has been made for centuries in the Lake Iseo area within the region of Lombardy. The Franciacorta we will be tasting is made by one of the region's well-known producers.

Whilst we are in Lombardy, we will also be having a wine known as Valtellina. This wine is made from Nebbiolo grapes, and although Nebbiolo is known to be grown in the region of Barolo in Italy, Nebbiolo also has a unique home to the east of Barolo, where it is named Valtellina.

The Valtellina Nebbiolo is an elegant, structured version of this wine, and one that is not often on wine lists.

There will be other wines from or originating from Italy that will be on taste as we spend the afternoon together enjoying a lunch and Italian wines.

What is super important is that you must be at our winery from 12.30 pm to 12:45 pm latest.
