Headlands Whisky Tasting with Manuel Terron
Five whiskies. Five distinct cask expressions. One afternoon at Cobbler.
Join us at Cobbler for a special guided tasting of five whiskies from Headlands Distilling Co., hosted by Brand Ambassador Manuel Terron.
Founded on the NSW South Coast, Headlands produces Australian single malt whisky with a particular focus on the influence of cask maturation. For this tasting, we’ll explore five expressions side by side, moving from Australian fortified wine casks through to a trio of Spanish sherry casks.
Over two hours, Manuel will guide us through each whisky, sharing the stories behind Headlands, the individual casks and how each maturation style shapes the whisky in the glass.

Apera Cask
Single Malt Whisky
An Australian cask expression showcasing the influence of Apera maturation.
Muscat Cask
Single Malt Whisky
A richer Australian cask expression matured with the influence of Muscat.
Oloroso Sherry Cask
Single Cask Whisky
A Spanish sherry cask expression exploring the depth and character of Oloroso maturation.
Pedro Ximénez Sherry Cask
Single Cask Whisky
A rich and full-flavoured single cask whisky showcasing the influence of Pedro Ximénez sherry.
Palo Cortado Sherry Cask
Single Cask Whisky
A distinctive single cask expression matured with the influence of the rare and complex Palo Cortado style of sherry.
Hosted by Manuel Terron
The afternoon will be hosted by Headlands Brand Ambassador Manuel Terron, taking us through the story behind the distillery and, most importantly, the five whiskies in front of us.
Rather than a formal masterclass, expect a relaxed afternoon at the bar with plenty of time to taste, talk whisky, ask questions and explore the differences between each cask.
